Run for the Son 5-K Sponsorship

 

Paul Moak Automotive is a proud sponsor of the Run for the Son 5-K Race
taking place in Jackson on Saturday, August 8th.

First Baptist Jackson's Run for the Son is one of the oldest 5K races in the State. The course starts at FBC Jackson and continues through the Historic Belhaven neighborhood. The race has grown significantly over the past 3 years. Run for the Son is a family event with activities in which the entire family can participate. We have the 5K run, 5K walk, 1 mile fun run, and the Tot Trot. 2008 was a banner year for this race with over 1000 people participating.

The Proceeds from Run for the Son will go to benefit Mission First, Inc. This non-profit organization operates the West Park Community Ministry Center which hosts a Legal Aid Office and a Medical/Dental Clinic. The multipurpose building houses health and fitness programs which provide wellness benefits to the residents of the area. Mission First also provides after school programs for children and youth which include tutoring, mentoring, sports teams, music, art, and drama. Along with these services and programs, there is an Emergency Response Team which responds to the needs of the community and the Jackson Metro area when disaster assistance is needed.
